FERROPLATES

Ferroplates

(porcelain, ferrofluid)

The project which deals with ferromagnetic painting is an experiment aimed at finding new possibilities and ways of decoration. The porcelain patterns are made of liquid magnet that is attracted by neodymium magnets.

MAGNETO

Magneto

(parasites of glass bowls)

On these objects, there is an applied decor formed by magnetised ferrofluid. It absorbs the bowls’ function and denies their primal perception.

TIP-TAP

Tip-tap carafe

(crystal glass)

This project is inspired by a tap and by forming of a water drop. Its minimalist shape is easy to grip. My design was also inspired by human proportions and the space where people live every day.

VULCANICO

Vulcanico

(porcelain, glaze)

I reglaze Biedermeier figures produced by Czech porcelain factories. The result is not only the restoration of the figures but, more importantly, the restitution of lost meanings.

CASTBACK

Castback

(modeling clay)

Objects and memories associated with my childhood and years of adolescence (various toys, footwear, braces, dumbbells...) defined and shaped my personality at a certain moment. I would not exchange them for anything in the world back then.

I had to abandon some of the subjects, though, whether it was due to my age or the need to move out to study in a different city. I turn my attention back to these objects, as I recall and model them from my memory. This way, I create a still-life of memories.
